The Ohio River Valley Women’s Business Council (ORV-WBC), based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has named Margery Murphy, CEO of Acadia Lead Management Services, ORV-WBC 2014 WBE Advocate of the Year.
The award was announced during the 2014 ORV-WBC Catch the Wave conference, held April 13-15 in Columbus, Ohio. ORV-WBC provides a national, premier WBENC certification to women-owned companies in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. Executive Director Rea Waldon, Ph.D. said, “We were thrilled when Margery stepped up to facilitate monthly WBE meetings in the Dayton area. Since the meetings began, Dayton WBEs have been more engaged and we are seeing an increase in B2B activities. A large part of that is due to Marge’s energy and commitment.”
This award is just one honor Margery Murphy has received this year, as she was recently named a 2014 Top 20 Woman to Watch in Sales Lead Management. Additionally, Acadia recently moved to a new office and has expanded staff and service offerings.
Margery Murphy said, “It has been a joy and a priviledge to coordinate the Dayton WBE networking group. The camaradie and encouragement this group shares is magnificent. We support and encourage each other and grow as a result. Our businesses are wide and varied – however, our determination to make a difference for our clients and our organizations is mutually shared.”
