Last month, we wrapped up an annual community project that we couldn’t do without the help of some very dedicated people and local businesses here in the Dayton, Ohio region. Every year, I help coordinate and implement a program called the Reds Rookie Success League of Dayton. The Reds Community Fund began this program over 10 years ago to serve inner city youth in “Reds Country,” with programs stretching from Louisville, KY to Dayton, OH. There's a lot to celebrate in May. One of my favorite celebrations is National Small Business Week, May 4-8. To honor small businesses on this week, the U.S. Small Business Administration offers webinars, timely articles and other resources for the small business. According to the SBA, "more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year."
